Kerman

Kerman is in the south east of Iran and enjoys a favorable desert climate, hot in the daytime but cool at night.

Kerman (Zhermania or Germania or as named by the Greek, Karamani) has a long history. It was ordered built by the founder of the Sassani Empire, Ardeshir Ι, in the 3rd century AD. The remained fortifications on the caravan routes are part of the evidence that Kerman played an important role in connecting Iran to the Indian subcontinent. Kerman has since then developed into what we have today, full of historical monuments and sites in and around the city:

Arg-e-Bam, the medieval citadel in Bam; Aramgah-e-Shah Ne’matolah Vali and Bagh-e-Shahzadeh (in the famous zone of Mahan); Ganj Ali Khan Bath; Friday Mosque; Emam Mosque; Vakil Bazaar and Gonbad Jabaliye.

Visitors coming to Kerman take home souvenirs like: Carpets and Tapestries in addition to the world class Pistachio nuts
