Kashan The ancient city, famed worldwide for its Sialk Hills, once was the residence of prehistoric man and one of the oldest civilization centers in the world (7,000 thousands years ago). It is located in the west of the central Desert, Kavir, that consequently gives it a hot and dry weather. In the past, the climatic conditions implied the use of “Baadgirs”, wind catchers, that acted as giant vents in the airless summer days. There are certain days each year when a special ceremony takes place: Distilling GOLAB (flower scent) from sweet smelled flowers. See you in Kashan and the suburbs where we would visit old monuments along with other fascinating sites: Broojerdies’ House; Tabatabayees’ House; Fin historical garden; Agha Bozorg mosque; Jam’e Mosque; Bazaar; Sialk Hills and the unique village of Abyaneh. | |
